Contract Payment Terms *

• I understand that I must complete a sound art track between 1 - 10 minutes in length in order to receive the full commission payment of $975.
• I understand that a first payment of $487.50 will be paid upon signing of this contract and submission of an invoice to anju@mediaartscommittee.org.
• I understand that a second payment of $487.50 will be paid upon submission of my final track (on or before January 31st 2027) and submission of an invoice to anju@mediaartscommittee.org.
• I understand that all payments may take up to 4 weeks to process following invoice submission.
• I understand that I must provide my GST number on my invoice if I charge GST.

I understand that MAC has the right to refuse payment for commissions that do not meet program requirements as outlined: *

• A minimum of 1 minute and a maximum 10 minutes in length
• WAV format
• Recording of a original sound art work created and produced during the residency period

I understand: *

• MAC shall not be responsible for the Artist’s coverage or payment of Income tax
• MAC shall not be responsible for the Artist’s coverage or payment of Worker’s Compensation
• MAC shall not be responsible for the Artist’s coverage or payment of Canada Pension Plan Contributions (CPP)
• MAC shall not be responsible for the Artist’s coverage or payment of Employment Insurance Contributions (EI)

All materials produced by the Artist for the Commission shall include an acknowledgement of the MAC (Media Arts Committee) residency in promotions. *
